2025 Online Admissions Application:

The Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) application period has closed.

Applicants who qualify for admission to Grade 8, 2025 can expect to receive an SMS from the Gauteng Department of Education.
Parents must accept the offer online by logging in to their profile on the GDE’s website: www.gdeadmissions.gov.za.
Once you have accepted online, the school will email an Acceptance Letter to parents.
Offers will be made until the school has reached capacity.

When a parent applies to a school for their child, the placement criteria is ranked as follows:

• Home address within the school’s feeder zone
• Sibling
• Work address within the school’s feeder zone
• Home address within a 30km radius
• Home address beyond a 30km radius

Required supporting documents for Grade 8 applicants:

• Certified copy of child’s birth certificate
• Certified copies of parents’ IDs or Passports
• Proof of home address
  Home Owner: A municipal account (not older than 3 months) in the name of the applicant’s parent, bearing the full residential address OR the Deed of Sale documents complete with revenue stamp.
  Renting: A valid Lease Agreement signed by the landlord and tenant (not older than 3 months) bearing the full physical residential address.
  Municipal account (not older than 3 months) in the name of the landlord (homeowner) bearing the full physical residential address.
  3 months rental payment slips
• Proof of work address (if using your work address for the application)
• Learner’s latest Grade 7 school report
• Refugee Permit/Asylum Seeker Permit/Permanent Residence Permit/Study Permit for non-South African Citizens only

Scholarships:

A limited number of full/partial scholarships are awarded to Grade 7 learners who demonstrate excellence in sport.
Academic scholarships are offered at the end of Grade 8 to those learners who finish top of their Grade.

• The scholarship application period for Grade 8, 2025 has closed.
• Late applications will not be considered.
• The scholarship application period for primary school learners who wish to gain admission to Grade 8 2026 will open in November 2024.
