Terms and Conditions – Expression of Interest

It is acknowledged that:

 

  1. The SGB is empowered in terms of Section 5 of SASA to determine the school’s policy regarding the admission of learners to the school, subject to the provisions of SASA and any applicable Provincial law.
  2. The person completing the form is the parent or legally appointed guardian of the learner whose name appears on the form.
  3. English is the medium of instruction and therefore learners must be able to benefit from instruction in this medium.
  4. If you are a parent/guardian of a child seeking admission into Grade 8 at Northcliff High School, use must be made of the E-Admissions system implemented by the Department of Education once it opens for Admissions.
  5. If you as a parent wish to enroll a child into Grade 9-11 you will be provided with an application form on request.
  6. By completing the school’s expression of interest form you are giving the Governing Body of the school permission to verify physical address details.
  7. On request a parent must provide the following documentation:
      • Certified copy of the child’s Unabridged Birth Certificate
      • Certified copy of both parent’s ID
      • Proof of Residence – A utility bill (not older than 2 months) in the parent’s name or a valid and current Lease Agreement. AN AFFIDAVIT is NOT ACCEPTABLE
      • Certified copy of the child’s most recent report
      • Proof of Legal Guardianship, by way of a Court Order
      • Refugee Permit/Asylum Seeker Permit/Permanent Residence Permit/Study Permit for non-South African Citizens only. No expired documentation will be accepted.
  8. Northcliff High School is a Section 21 Independent State fee paying school.
  9. By accepting the Terms and Conditions you consent to the school or it’s appointed agent to carry out a credit enquiry.
